FAQS
What is the difference between JM Juice & the ones found in supermarket?
Our juice stands out from the options you typically find in supermarkets due to its unique production process and preservation of nutrients. Unlike many commercially available juices, our juice is cold-pressed and not pasteurised.
Cold-pressed juice is made by using a hydraulic press to extract juice from fruits and vegetables. This method involves applying pressure to the produce, which helps to extract the maximum amount of juice while minimising heat generation. In contrast, most juices found in supermarkets are produced using a centrifugal juicer, which generates heat through high-speed spinning blades. The heat generated during the centrifugal juicing process can lead to the loss of some heat-sensitive nutrients and enzymes present in the fruits and vegetables.
The cold-pressing technique we employ ensures that the juice retains a higher concentration of vitamins, minerals, and enzymes naturally present in the fruits and vegetables.

This approach ensures that you receive a juice that is rich in flavour, nutrients, and health benefits.
What are the benefits?
Drinking cold-pressed juice offers several benefits due to its unique production process and nutrient retention. Here are some advantages of consuming cold-pressed juice:
- Higher Nutrient Content: Cold-pressed juice retains a higher concentration of essential vitamins, minerals, and enzymes found in fresh fruits and vegetables. The absence of heat during extraction helps preserve these delicate nutrients that can be compromised by other juicing methods or pasteurisation.
- Enhanced Digestion: Cold-pressed juice contains a higher amount of beneficial enzymes that aid in digestion. These enzymes can assist in breaking down food particles, improving nutrient absorption, and promoting a healthy digestive system.
- Increased Antioxidant Intake: Fruits and vegetables are rich in antioxidants, which help protect the body against free radicals and oxidative stress. Cold-pressed juice, with its higher nutrient content, provides a convenient way to boost your antioxidant intake and support overall well-being.
- Hydration and Refreshment: Cold-pressed juice is a delicious and refreshing way to stay hydrated. It provides a flavourful alternative to plain water and can be especially beneficial during hot weather or intense physical activity.
Detoxification Support: Cold-pressed juice is often used in juice cleanses or detox programs due to its nutrient density and potential to support the body’s natural detoxification processes. It can help provide a concentrated source of essential nutrients while allowing the digestive system to rest.
- Convenience and Variety: Cold-pressed juices are available in a wide range of flavours and combinations, allowing you to easily incorporate a variety of fruits and vegetables into your diet. It offers a convenient way to consume a diverse array of nutrients and can be a helpful option for individuals who struggle to meet their daily recommended intake of fruits and vegetables.
While cold-pressed juice offers numerous benefits, it’s important to note that it should not replace whole fruits and vegetables in your diet. Whole produce provides additional fiber, which is often lost during the juicing process. Incorporating cold-pressed juice as part of a balanced diet can be a valuable way to supplement your nutrient intake and enjoy the flavours and benefits of fresh fruits and vegetables.
How Long will it last?
When properly refrigerated, our cold-pressed juice can typically last up to 6 days in the refrigerator.
Freezing the juice helps to preserve its nutrients and flavours while keeping it safe for consumption even longer. When stored in the freezer at the appropriate temperature, our juice can remain good for up to 6 months.
You can thaw the frozen juice in the refrigerator overnight or under cold water, ensuring that it retains its nutritional value and taste.
With the option to freeze for up to 6 months, our cold-pressed juice provides convenience and flexibility, allowing you to enjoy the goodness of fresh juice whenever it suits your preferences and schedule.
Why does the juice seperate?
Don't worry! This is a completely natural process.
Due to the absence of additives and the natural characteristics of the ingredients used, this separation is a normal occurrence and does not indicate spoilage or a loss of quality.
To address separation, simply shake or stir the juice before consuming it. This helps distribute the settled particles and create a more consistent texture.
Can I freeze the juice?
Yes, cold-pressed juice can be frozen. Freezing is a viable option to extend the shelf life of cold-pressed juice and preserve its nutrients and flavours.
When freezing cold-pressed juice, it’s important to follow proper guidelines to maintain its quality.
Here are a few key points to keep in mind:
Label and Date: It’s helpful to label the containers with the date of freezing to keep track of their freshness. This way, you can prioritise consuming the oldest juice first.
Freeze at the Appropriate Temperature: Set your freezer to a temperature of 0°F (-18°C) or below. This ensures optimal freezing conditions and helps maintain the quality of the juice.
Thawing the Frozen Juice: When you’re ready to consume the frozen juice, it’s best to thaw it gradually in the refrigerator overnight. You can also place the container in a bowl of cold water to speed up the thawing process. Avoid thawing at room temperature to minimise the risk of bacterial growth.
Shake or Stir Before Consuming: Once the juice is fully thawed, give it a gentle shake or stir to redistribute any settled particles and restore a consistent texture.
Freezing is the most natural option for preserving cold-pressed juice for longer periods, but it’s generally recommended to consume the juice within 6 months to ensure optimal quality
Can I drink your juices when pregnant?
Pregnant women and individuals with weakened immune systems should exercise caution when consuming unpasteurised juices.
Unpasteurised juices may carry a higher risk of containing harmful bacteria. When pregnant it is advisable for you to choose pasteurised juices or heat-treated options to reduce the likelihood of food borne illnesses during this critical time.
Consulting with a healthcare professional for personalised guidance is also recommended to ensure the safety of both the mother and baby or individuals with compromised immune systems.
